About me and my therapy practice

I have trained as an integrative relational counsellor, believing that the relationship developed during counselling is key to the therapy process. I believe that each person's life experiences have contributed to their individuality and am able to integrate different approaches to best suit and work with each client to achieve their goals.

I have had experience working with a wide range of presenting issues including abuse, anxiety, change, depression, relationship issues and trauma amongst others. If your concern has not been mentioned here please get in touch and we can discuss whether I am likely to be the right counsellor for you.

I work with adults, couples and adolescents and hold a current DBS clearance. I am fully insured and as a member of the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists (BACP), I work within their ethical framework to keep you safe and guarantee your confidentiality. I am committed to continuing professional development, attending workshops and courses regularly to further my knowledge and training.

Practice description

I am aware that looking for and starting counselling can be challenging, often at a time when you may be feeling overwhelmed, making it hard to reach out. My aim is to offer a safe and supportive environment, providing you with a non-judgemental space so you can feel truly heard and understood. Within this safe space you will be able to explore past or present concerns that may be causing conflict within yourself and impacting on your psychological well being.

Counselling can give you the emotional support to explore your life events and feelings. This support will allow you to gain understanding, reaching your own decisions about how you may want to move forward with your life and the best way for you to be able to do this.

My first session

Once you have made initial contact we can schedule a 15 minute appointment to allow you to ask any questions and see if counselling is what you are looking for. We can then decide on a day and time that your sessions will be held on and the start date for this.
