Availability

Hello,

My walk and talk sessions are currently coming to an end for the winter months, however I current have availability both face to face and remotely.

About me and my therapy practice

The key focus of what I have to offer is a safe and containing theraputic relationship. This forms the frame work in which all the other growth can take place. I am able to offer a wide range of supportive interventions, personalised to provide you the best development possible.

Practice description

I have been lucky enough to work with a wide range of people over my time in the counselling and psychotherapy. I have worked with children and young people, coming from diverse backgrounds and each unique in their own amazing ways. I currently work primarily with 14+, however I am happy to refer on to one of my amazing colleagues.

Prior to March 2020 my practice was entirely completed face to face, with plans to move towards walk and talk sessions that summer. However in the wake of Covid-19 a large part of my psychotherapy work has moved to remote methods, opening up new ways of working through services such as Zoom or teams.

During the opening sessions building a healthy safe relationship is of the upmost importance. Personal and unique to each person. This for me is the foundation that allows the space to be made effective for you. Developing a relationship that is filled with unconditional positive regard, trust, authenticity and honesty. Fueled with clear communication and consistency. All coming together to allow you to move forwards in a way that fits you.

My first session

Entering in to a therapy agreement can be a time of various emotions. Some initial information prior to our first session can help to get things flowing and create a space where building a healthy healing relationship. For those unfamiliar with therapy or counselling I am happy to book in a shorter check in to discuss the process and see what works for you.

After this the first formal session tends to act like building the foundations of a house. It may look slight different for each person given the unique experiences everyone brings. However at its core it creates a safe secure space to move forwards in a way which works best for you.
