About me and my therapy practice

I am an integrative counsellor, which allows me to draw upon a range of approaches and techniques. In my view, counselling is not a 'one-size-fits-all' as we are all unique. Utilising a range of therapeutic approaches therefore facilitates an individualistic, counselling process with the aim of promoting positive change. My primary approach is humanistic, person-entered counselling, which places you, the client, in control of your sessions. As you, and only you, are the expert of your own life.

I work with adults, older adults and young people and have extensive experience providing bereavement/grief counselling alongside other presenting issues.

Practice description

What to expect

Making the decision to undertake counselling is a big step and if it is for you, then I can provide a safe and confidential space for us to work together. I value professionalism, confidentiality and authenticity. The counselling relationship is based upon these qualities, alongside a non-judgmental attitude.

Counselling is both a time and a space for you. This will allow for exploration of how you are feeling; to reflect on what is happening and to consider how you want to feel.

I am based in a calm and tranquil location and sessions will take place in a purpose built and designed therapy space. This space promotes confidentiality, which is at the core of my practice.

I offer a full hour (60-minutes) for in-person sessions.

Regular, weekly sessions are ideal for effective counselling, however sometimes one session or a limited number of sessions can be beneficial. I also offer longer-term, open-ended counselling but will always work to the needs of you, the client.

Fees

In-person £50 (60-minute duration)

Telephone/Zoom £45 (50-minute duration)

Getting in touch

If you are interested, please make contact and we can then arrange the initial consultation session. I respond to all enquiries and aim to get back to you within 48-hours.

PLEASE DO CHECK YOUR JUNK/SPAM FOLDER FOR MY RESPONSE.

My first session

I offer a free 30-minute initial consultation session, which is an opportunity for us to meet/chat and to assess if counselling is right for you and if I am the right counsellor for you. This session can be in-person, online or via telephone. I offer all three formats.

Following on from this, we can discuss how counselling may help, how we will work together and agree on regular sessions if you want to proceed.
