About me and my therapy practice

Hello, Assalamu Alaikum, Namaste, Guten Tag! I warmly welcome you to my profile. As a passionate person-centered counselor, my aim is to provide a safe space where you can overcome emotional challenges, explore your identities, and empower yourself on your unique paths toward personal growth and healing. With a special focus on postnatal and prenatal support, I am here to support the incredible journey of motherhood, emphasizing holistic well-being as part of my approach.

In my practice, I embrace a person-centered approach, grounded in the belief that you possess the innate ability to navigate your own life experiences and develop a deeper understanding of yourself. With a non-judgmental mindset and utmost respect for the values and beliefs of you as my client, I strive to create a therapeutic relationship that fosters trust, empathy, and collaboration. By placing you, the client, at the center of the therapeutic process, we can work together to explore your unique needs and aspirations.

The transition into motherhood is a profound and transformative experience, one that can bring immense joy and fulfillment. However, it is not uncommon for mothers to struggle with postnatal and prenatal depression, anxiety, or overwhelming emotions. I am deeply committed to supporting mothers during these challenging times, offering a compassionate and nurturing environment that acknowledges the intersection between cultural, religious, and psychological factors.

By utilizing evidence-based techniques, such as cognitive-behavioral therapy, mindfulness, and person-centered interventions, I aim to equip mothers with effective coping strategies while assisting them in developing resilience and self-compassion. It is my belief that through empowering mothers, we can provide them with the necessary tools to nurture not only their own mental health but also foster positive parent-child relationships.

Practice description

Being a Muslim person-centered counsellor, I am highly sensitive to the diverse religious and cultural backgrounds that shape the lives of my clients. By weaving Islamic principles into the therapy process, I offer an inclusive space where we can explore how faith and spirituality can serve as sources of strength, healing, and guidance for individuals. Moreover, I recognize the unique challenges faced by Muslim mothers, especially in navigating cultural expectations or reconciling multiple identities, and strive to address these concerns empathetically. Join me on this transformative journey.

No matter what you may be experiencing or struggling with, I am here to listen, understand, and guide you toward healing and self-discovery. Together, we will embark on a journey of personal growth, harnessing your inner strength and resilience. By collaborating and embracing the richness of your experiences, I am confident that we can illuminate the path ahead and work towards holistic well-being.

Take the courageous step towards change today. I am ready to walk alongside you. Let's create a safe space where you can feel heard, validated, and empowered.
