About me and my therapy practice

Hi, my name is Bev.

I am a Qualified Person-Centred Therapeutic Counsellor,  registered with the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists. MBACP 395488.

Making the decision and taking the first step to seek counselling may feel challenging but regular meetings with a trained Counsellor can help you gain insights and fresh perspectives about what is troubling you. People contact a Counsellor for many different reasons. They may be struggling with emotional issues such as anxiety or depression, or want to pursue personal growth.

My aim is to offer a confidential, safe space for adults where you can explore difficulties you are having in your life; whether this is to unlock and work through deep-seated, long standing issues which may have been hidden for years, or to look at a current personal problem and to understand and define the options that are necessary for you to get on with your life.

Some issues include having anxiety and depression .

Coming to terms with bereavement, divorce or redundancy.

Emotional detachment.

Difficulties with partners, friends or family

Feeling low, lacking self-esteem, confidence or having feelings of being stuck emotionally.

Destructive behaviour with alcohol, drugs, food, money, self-harming. suicidal thoughts.

Therapy provides a safe and supportive environment in which you can confidentially explore areas that are troubling you, without fear of being judged or criticised. You will then be able to gain greater insight and understanding of the thoughts, beliefs and behaviours that affect your life and relationships.

Please feel free to contact me for a twenty-minute free phone consultation to discuss what is happening for you and how we might work together

I also offer low cost counselling sessions for people on benefits, low income families (when available) please do enquire.

I have an up to date Advanced DBS check.

I have professional indemnity and public liability insurance
