About me and my therapy practice
Deciding to work with a counsellor can seem daunting, so it's important to find a therapist who feels a good fit for you, someone that you feel safe with. You might be certain that you’re ready to start therapy, or maybe you're unsure and just want to get in touch to find out more about the process. I welcome all enquiries, and offer a free initial call, which allows us the chance to connect, and where you can ask any questions you may have without any pressure to proceed.
I'm experienced in supporting adults with concerns like anxiety, addressing the impact of past trauma, struggles with self-worth or self-confidence, questions around one's purpose. I provide a safe, confidential and supportive space where you can talk through your concerns and we will work on understanding what is happening so that we can identify ways to bring about relief or a way forward.
We will collaborate to explore the issues that have brought you to counselling, aiming to gain greater insight and understanding, to sensitively challenge unhelpful thought patterns, encourage self-kindness and facilitate your personal growth.
I currently offer counselling online, offering both short and long-term individual therapy for adults.
I hold an enhanced DBS certificate, and have full professional indemnity insurance.
If you would like to book an appointment with me or ask any questions please contact me on 07769416542
Practice description
I recognise that we are all unique, and believe that therapy should reflect this. Accordingly, as an integrative counsellor, I can utilise different psychological approaches in order to tailor my work to meet your personal needs. I understand my role as supporting you to find solutions that are helpful for the concerns that you have.
Providing a space where you feel safe, where you will be heard and understood, and where you can set the pace and content are key ingredients to my approach. I recognise how past events, particularly in formative years, can shape the way we see ourselves, and that understanding these underlying beliefs enables us to bring about helpful change.
Whatever it is that has brought you to counselling, we will work together to understand what is happening for you, and seek to identify helpful solutions that increase self-kindness, challenge unhelpful thought patterns and promote your personal growth.
My first session
The therapeutic relationship is key to successful outcomes in counselling, so finding the right therapist for you is important.
In light of this, I offer a 15 minute free informal initial consultation by phone.
This gives us opportunity to discuss your needs and expectations, and provides you with a better understanding of who I am, what I can offer, and allows you to ask me any questions you may have.
In our first session we will explore further what has brought you to counselling, and seek to understand how it affects your thoughts, feelings, behaviour and your daily life. I will probably ask questions to gain greater understanding of your concerns.
We may also look at identifying goals to work towards.

I’m an integrative counsellor; I recognise each individual’s uniqueness, and I can draw from different psychological approaches to tailor my work to meet your personal needs.
My role is not to fix you (not that I could) but to support you to find helpful solutions.

In our initial session my aim is to make you feel safe and to work on a shared understanding of the issue(s) that has brought you to therapy, and how this is affecting your thoughts, feelings, behaviours and daily life. We may also seek to identify helpful goals to be working towards, but there is no pressure from me for things to be as structured as this.
