About me and my therapy practice
I provide psychotherapy and counselling to individuals at my private practice in Highgate and King’s Cross. Additionally, I offer these services online.
Prior to entering the mental health field, I spent more than a decade as a health and fitness practitioner, primarily focusing on physical rehabilitation and pain management. I also delivered talks, seminars and workshops on various health related topics to businesses in central and greater London.
I have a special interest in men’s mental health and have considerable experience in helping men naviagate through emotional turbulence. In 2017, I founded and was the lead facilitator of a men’s group aimed at supporting individuals facing mental health challenges.
Practice description
Counselling and psychotherapy are two distinct yet interconnected approaches aimed at supporting individuals in navigating their emotional and psychological well-being.
Counselling tends to focus on specific issues and challenges in the present, providing guidance and practical solutions to improve coping strategies and foster personal growth. It is often a shorter-term process, offering support for issues like relationship difficulties, grief, or career transitions.
On the other hand, psychotherapy delves deeper into the underlying causes of emotional distress, exploring patterns, beliefs, and past experiences that shape an individual's current struggles. It aims to bring about profound and lasting change by fostering self-awareness and insight. Psychotherapy typically involves a longer-term commitment, facilitating the exploration of complex issues such as trauma, personality disorders, or deep-seated psychological concerns.
Both counselling and psychotherapy offer valuable support, tailored to individual needs, to promote healing, personal development, and improved mental well-being.
