About me and my therapy practice

Reaching out for help takes courage at a time when you might be struggling.

My experience enables us to offer effective and individualized counselling for both individuals and couples. At leaf counselling I strongly believe the key to the success of therapy is the strength of the therapeutic relationship. Having someone to talk to who is really listening can be a healing experience in itself.

I offer, with warmth and sensitivity, a confidential and non-judgemental space where we can explore whatever is on your mind.

I am an integrative counsellor meaning I believe there isn't just one therapeutic approach that can help you (The Client) in all situations. Instead, I consider you as an individual and your circumstances and use elements of different approaches to help you explore and cope with your problems.

You might want to talk to me about feeling anxious or depressed, a stressful life event, health related worries, dealing with a bereavement or loss, relationship difficulties or breakdowns, trauma you have experienced, work related issues e.g. bullying or discrimination, or identity struggles.

I can help you by providing a calm and reflective space where we can work through what is going on for you.

Practice description

I have worked as a therapist in a variety of settings within the voluntary and EAP sectors working with a wide range of issues and with clients of all ages.

I believe a strong and trusting therapeutic relationship is key to bringing about change. I work in an integrative way which means I use a range of different counselling theories and techniques depending on the nature of the issue, and will tailor my approach to what might work best to meet your needs.

Couples counselling can be for any stage in a relationship. I work with couples through a therapeutic programme that helps with communication and understanding the dynamics of the relationship.
