About me and my therapy practice

My name is Adrian Jama and I am a MSc Qualified Integrative Counsellor and Psychotherapist, registered with the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). My practice is rooted in inclusivity, non-judgement and a dedication for providing a safe and affirming space for you to be your true self. I have extensive experience and passion for working with the LGBTQ+ community. I strive to create a therapeutic space that not only celebrates your identity and promotes self-acceptance, but also allows you to reflect and grow in self-awareness and confidence.

Being an Integrative Therapist means that I use a range of different theories to ensure that the approach is tailored to each individual's needs. I believe that building a trusting, collaborative and empowering therapeutic relationship will give us the cornerstone to help you strengthen and reach your full potential. I am a non-directive therapist as I believe that every individual has the innate ability to blossom, given the right conditions. I am empathic, and will accept you for who you are, no matter what, giving you a space to self-express, feel 'heard' and live with pride.

I understand how difficult life can be in today's society, and how much harder it is to reach out and seek support. No matter what your gender or sexual identity, cultural or religious beliefs and ethnicity is, I will meet you with compassion and join you on your journey to becoming the best version you can possibly be. Together, we can embark on a journey of healing, growth and self-discovery.

Practice description

I have experience working with children, adolescents and adults in a number of different settings, including the education system, pupil referral units, third sector organisations and now in private practice. I also work at a University as a Lecturer delivering lectures, seminars and workshops to both undergraduate and postgraduate counselling programmes; supporting trainee counsellors through their personal and professional development.

I offer short-term and long-term therapy, with regular reviews to ensure that we are actively working towards your goals and objectives.

I currently work remotely online through Zoom which can be more accessible and convenient. I work within the UK Jurisdiction. I have an up-to-date DBS and professional insurance.

If, by reading my profile, you feel like I may be the therapist for you, feel free to reach out.
