I provide therapy sessions online (via Zoom), by telephone or walk and talk sessions.

I am available Monday to Thursday: 9.30am until 3pm. 

Fridays: 9.30am until 12pm.

Saturdays: 9am until 12pm. 



About me and my therapy practice

Hello I’m Rachel and a very warm welcome. As you find yourself here, you may be feeling stuck in life at the moment and perhaps issues or difficulties may be causing you distress or to feel overwhelmed. Perhaps you feel anxious, depressed or have low self esteem? Often through no fault of our own we can get caught up in these difficult cycles. 

The good news is I can help you get "unstuck" and help you to achieve lasting change in your life. I will help you move towards your goals and lead a more fulfilled life. I am here to support you every step of the way, giving you the space and time to discover yourself.

I am a qualified CBT therapist with experience of people with issues such as anxiety, anger, depression and self esteem. I tailor a range of proven therapeutic techniques to your unique needs. I also have ten years experience of working with unpaid carers and helping them cope with the impact of caring on their lives. 

Qualifications:

Diploma in Counselling and Groupwork: A CBT Approach.

COSCA Certificate in Counselling.

BSc (Hons) Psychology, Sociology and Social Policy.

Practice description

I offer a caring, calm, encouraging and non-judgemental space for you to share your thoughts and feelings, empowering you to find a way forward.

By looking at how your thoughts, feelings and behaviours all connect we can develop a deeper understanding of what's going on for you. From this, I can help you develop coping strategies that will help you in the present and also in to the future. 

I am here to gently help you make sense of the difficulties in your life by giving you understanding, empathy and support. Finding the right therapist that you genuinely connect with is important, therefore I warmly invite you to contact me for a free informal chat (20 minutes) to see how we could work together.


My first session

In the first session we start developing a shared understanding of what's going on for you and what's brought you here to therapy. This will involve an initial assessment of the issues you are experiencing and how they affect you.

This will be done at a gentle pace, making sure you have the space and time to express yourself and feel heard.
