About me and my therapy practice

Therapy is about the exploration of our inner thoughts in a safe and non-judgemental environment. I want all my clients to be heard, valued and understood - supporting my clients to explore their perspectives and empowering them to experience change. I believe that we all have the potential to change and move through difficulty and that a therapeutic relationship can support us to harness that power, even when it might seem difficult.

As an integrative counsellor, I am influenced by a variety of psychological approaches and recognise that we are all unique so one approach does not fit all. My training is predominantly person-centred and psychotherapeutic which means I believe clients hold their own answers to their difficulties, and I see the value in exploring how patterns in thinking and behaviour may be linked to the past. I recognise that it can be helpful to look at the past to understand our present. I have years of experience working with clients going through challenging times - from periods of depression and anxiety to relationship breakdowns and loss of identity.

If you are thinking about starting therapy, why not contact me to arrange an initial consultation? In this session we would have the opportunity to think about what brings you to therapy, get a sense of what it is like to be in therapy with me and ask any questions you might have. Together we would then decide if we would like to work together.
