About me and my therapy practice
Hello, I'm Scott, I help people to understand themselves better and improve their lives. Are you are feeling overwhelmed at the moment, anxious, lost, hurt, angry, traumatised, stressed? If so, I have experience in helping people with all of the above. I support people to develop skills and techniques which help them connect with their experiences and emotions. I offer a warm, empathetic, non judgemental space for you to clarify, explore, and process whatever it is you're finding difficult at the moment.
I can help you decrease psychological tension, challenge irrational thoughts, and focus on the present moment. While studying a Masters in sport psychology I spent a lot of time researching mindfulness techniques which have been shown to help alleviate anxiety and depression. I also have a in-depth knowledge of self compassion techniques.
I will make a genuine attempt to understand your feelings with a respectful sensitivity and sincere non-judgemental attitude. Above all I want you to feel heard and acknowledged in your unique experiences and emotions. I don't discriminate and welcome all clients from all backgrounds. Please don't hesitate to get in touch for a free consultation.
Practice description
I have a post-graduate diploma in integrative counselling from Leeds Beckett University and hold a MSc in sport psychology.
I provide a non-directive person centred approach, although, I do have specialisation in mindfulness and self-compassion focused interventions which can be drawn upon.
I also believe in psychosomatics which is interaction between body and mind. Fundamentally this is the belief that conflict and stress can cause or aggravate physical illnesses.

We can arrange a free 15-minute consultation to see if you feel I am the right therapist for you.
