About me and my therapy practice
Hello, I’m Fiona, an integrative counsellor with experience of working with adults and young people.
You may be seeking counselling for a specific issue such as depression, anxiety or bereavement or perhaps you are feeling stuck or irritable. Whatever struggles you are facing, I see counselling as an opportunity for you to explore your emotions in a safe environment and to help you develop coping strategies.
My focus is on you as the client and I believe that you are the expert in your own world. I’m not going to direct you or lead you, but I’m going to follow you on your journey, exploring your feelings. Together, we’re going to make sense of what your issues are, so that you can move forward in your life.
Within the safe, non-judgemental and confidential environment of our counselling session, we will explore the issues which have brought you to therapy. By doing so, we may begin to understand how you can develop your own personal resources and move on and change your patterns of behaviour. Our sessions will focus on your journey, and how you can use our time together in order to move forwards. Using an approach which includes bodily sensations, emotions and mind, my aim is to support you to improve your self-awareness and enhance your wellbeing.
Practice description
I offer an initial free half hour telephone or zoom consultation to discuss any questions and to get a feel of how we may work together. This session will help you to decide if I am the right therapist for you and you will be able to get a sense of how counselling could work for you.
Therapy offers a unique opportunity to discuss and explore your personal struggles and feelings in a safe, supportive and confidential space.
I meet clients face-to-face in peaceful counselling rooms in both Ramsdell, Basingstoke and Winchester, Hampshire.
Counselling sessions are 50 minutes in length and the fee is £55. I offer both short and long term therapy, depending on your needs and preference.
As a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), I adhere to their ethical guidelines.
I attend clinical supervision on a regular basis to ensure that I am working in my client's best interest. I hold full professional liability insurance and have an enhanced DBS certificate.
My qualifications:
BSc (Hons) Therapeutic Counselling
CPCAB Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling Level 4
CPCAB Certificate in Counselling Skills Level 3
