About me and my therapy practice

A warm welcome to my page! I am a registered (MBACP) counsellor and founder of Root and Flow Counselling. I provide online and face to face counselling sessions for women (18+) and girls (13 to 17) in Southam, Leamington Spa and Fenny Compton.

As a person-centred counsellor, I offer a warm, authentic and confidential relationship from which you can explore your difficult experiences at your own pace. I adapt my approach to your specific needs, ensuring you receive counselling that best serves you. In our sessions, I will strive to see through your lens of perception and accept you as you are in each moment. I believe you are the expert of yourself and a person worthy of being recognised, heard and understood.

Whether your therapy is short or long-term, I work to ensure that you get the most out of our sessions together. This involves regularly checking in with you in order to review and explore how you are experiencing the process.

As a registered member of the BACP, my practice is underpinned by the ethical framework, ongoing supervision and continual professional development. I hold a clean enhanced DBS certificate and I am subscribed to the DBS Update Service (available on request).

Please see my website, www.rootandflowcounselling.com, for more details about myself and my practice.

Practice description

I offer in person counselling sessions (£60) in Leamington Spa, Southam and Fenny Compton. Please see my website for information about the therapy spaces for each location. Counselling sessions happen at the same location on a weekly basis.

I also offer online counselling sessions (£50) which I conduct in a private space via Google Meet.

All sessions are 50 minutes long.

My first session

The initial consultation will be an opportunity for us to meet, discuss what brought you to counselling and help us decide whether I could be the right counsellor for you. It is a space for you to talk freely and ask any questions you may have.

The 30-minute session can take place online, via Google Meet (Fee: £30). Alternatively, we can meet face-to-face in Leamington Spa, Southam or Fenny Compton (Fee: £40).

If we decide that our counselling sessions should go ahead, we will agree on an initial number of sessions. Once these initial sessions are completed, we will review how things are going, and see whether you want to finalise the counselling there, agree another series of sessions, or work on an ongoing basis.

For young people: Both the parent/guardian and young person must be present during the initial consultation. The parent/guardian is welcome to schedule a short phone call with me either before and/or after the initial consultation.
