About me and my therapy practice

Hello, my name is Jenni and I am a fully qualified person-centered counsellor.

You may not have any experience of counselling, you may be anxious about seeking help.  If you are reading this you have already taken the first step.  Counselling is an opportunity for you to explore a difficulty you are having, distress you may have experienced or your dissatisfaction with life or a loss of direction or purpose.  Within a non-judgemental atmosphere of privacy and trust, attentive listening and patience, we can begin to perceive your difficulties from your point of view and so can help you to see things more clearly, or from a different perspective; counselling is a way of enabling change, clearing confusion and empowering you.

In a counselling session it is possible for you to explore your thoughts and feelings in a way that is rarely possible with friends or family.  Feelings of anger, anxiety, grief or embarrassment can become very intense when not expressed and counselling is an opportunity to examine these feelings closely and help you to understand them.

Thank you for visiting my profile.
