About me and my therapy practice
I provide one-to-one Therapy for adults aged 18+ anywhere in the UK struggling with: Family/non-family conflict & relationship issues to support individuals in exploring and recognising how they relate to others in their lives & Low Self-Esteem to support individuals examine the root causes, how to address feelings of low self-worth and learn how to improve their self-image and reduce self-doubt.
My role is to support you to explore and understand your relationships better. I will support you to explore your feelings, beliefs and behaviours within the relationship, to gain a better understanding of your situation and the choices you have. This can help you to develop a deeper understanding of your relationship and make decisions that are right for you. We can past and current relationships in order to better understand how they affect you.
My counselling services are for any individual adults who might be facing relationship difficulties or wants to strengthen relationships they already have, maintain or grow their relationship with family, friends, or anyone in a romantic relationship or wants to understand themselves better. We will explore your story; talk about the problem you are having and the impact it has on you. We will discuss the changes you want to make or anything that is a block to making those changes. Counselling will support you to find strengths and resources within yourself to resolve and solve problems you are facing for the better. You don’t have to wait until things get worse. Most people have an idea of what relationship counselling is and think that you only need counselling when things get bad. It doesn't matter if you’re on your own, married or working towards a relationship.
Practice description
I have Liability insurance and am registered with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), so your information is held safely. I also work within the Data Protection Act 1998, so all your information is stored safely.
I respond to enquiries as soon as possible, please be patient if I don't respond straightaway as I may be with clients when you contact me. If you have not had an email back from me after a couple of hours, please check your junk/spam folder, just in case my reply has gone there.
My first session
I will never push you to talk about anything you are not ready to explore, there will be times when I will challenge you gently to explore how your thoughts affect your emotions and experiences. We can explore and work on how you relate to yourself and others in your life, the beliefs you have about yourself, how you believe other people perceive you, your abilities, the positive and negative things about you, how you interpret the past, and what you anticipate for your future.
Individual relationship counselling can help to prevent relationship issues from growing. It can help you to recognize and develop your strengths and weaknesses, explore how you relate to others in your life, gain self-awareness, improve your communication skills, work on issues that are affecting your relationship and make healthy connections leading to improvements in your relationships. You learn how to take care of yourself and communicate your own needs.
