About me and my therapy practice

Feeling lost amidst the pressure to “have it all figured out” - in our career, education, relationships, life direction and purpose - can leave us feeling as if there is something wrong with us, or that we are not good enough.

Therapy is a space where you can feel heard, understood and supported as you navigate difficult life experiences. I offer support to people through issues including: life direction, choices & transitions, identity, self-esteem, relationships, women's issues, men's mental health, and young adults aged 20s-30s.

Women and women's issues

I work frequently with the lived experiences of high-achieving women, perfectionism, the voice of the inner critic, low self-esteem / relationship with self, and challenges often faced by university students.

Men and men's mental health

I also work with men through their lived experiences or issues including: work-stress and pressure, life direction, depression / low mood, anxiety, relationships, self-esteem, loneliness, and loss. We collaborate on your chosen goals, working within a safe environment of non-judgement, understanding, and authenticity.

Practice description

Integrative and Relational Therapy (MSc Therapeutic Counselling)

Integrative Therapy

Therapy is not one-size-fits-all: in our work we would utilise theory as best suits you and your individual needs, personality, diversity, and circumstances. This incorporates the impact of contextual factors in your life such as gender, culture, sexuality, and anything else that you feel is significant to your lived experience.

Relational Approach

The therapeutic relationship is central to our work, and is shown by research to have the greatest impact on positive therapeutic change. In building a therapeutic relationship of trust, authenticity, and openness, you can be seen and heard for all that you are. We will also use the here-and-now of the therapeutic relationship to draw our attention to self-beliefs or patterns of relating that might be holding you back in life, and learn to let them go.

Experience in Well-being, Support and Education

Prior to qualifying as a therapist, and as part of finding my own path in life, I've held support, well-being and education roles in the UK, Canada, and Australia in: international higher education, secondary and sixth form, international youth travel & cultural exchange, the performing arts, social services, and in disability support services.

My first session

After getting in touch with me via email, we can start with a 30 minute, free-of-charge introductory phone or Zoom call. We will discuss what is bringing you to seek therapy, expectations for the process, practicalities, and to see how you feel about us working together.

If you would like to go ahead with therapy, we would then arrange our first 50 minute session for a time that works for you.
