About me and my therapy practice
I am a qualified psychological therapist, and I will soon begin my third and final year of doctoral training in counselling psychology for HCPC practitioner psychologist status. I have a broad and integrative background in psychological therapies, with a core foundation in Relational Psychodynamic and Person-Centred approaches.
I specialise in trauma-informed practice, supporting individuals who have experienced complex childhood experiences and traumatic stress and are now struggling with feelings of overwhelm, anxiety and low mood. I currently work in a Medical Trauma setting within the NHS, where I support people living with the psychological impact of physical health events. I also have experience working with trauma using Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (TF-CBT), particularly in helping clients manage the lasting effects of early life trauma and PTSD symptoms.
My approach is collaborative and tailored to you, taking into account your life story, your experiences, and what’s meaningful to you. Together, we’ll explore the impact of those experiences, and work toward building insight, resilience, and emotional wellbeing.
I offer a safe, supportive space to navigate life’s challenges, whether that’s anxiety, depression, trauma, or relationship difficulties. It takes strength to reach out, and I’m here to walk alongside you on your journey of healing and growth.
Practice description
My approach to therapy is rooted in empathy, collaboration, and a deep respect for your individual journey. I believe that you are the expert on your own life, and my role is to support you in exploring your experiences with care, curiosity, and compassion.
I work in a trauma-informed way, creating a safe and non-judgmental space where you can feel held, whether you're processing complex emotions, exploring past experiences, or working toward meaningful change. When you're ready, we can move at your pace toward healing, self-understanding, and growth.
If you’d like to learn more about how I work or you're thinking about starting therapy, feel free to get in touch. I’d be glad to connect and support you on your journey.
My first session
If you're considering therapy, it's completely normal to feel unsure about what to expect. In our first session, we’ll begin by getting to know each other. I’ll ask some gentle questions about what brings you to therapy, your background, and what you’re hoping to gain from our work together.
We’ll also talk about how I work, go over confidentiality, and I’ll answer any questions you might have. This initial session is a chance for you to get a sense of whether therapy feels right for you and whether I’m the right fit to support you.
You don’t need to prepare anything or have the “right” words, just come as you are. My priority is to create a space where you feel safe, heard, and comfortable. If you choose to continue, we’ll arrange our next session and begin working toward the goals that matter most to you.
Types of therapy
CBT, Cognitive, Creative therapy, Existential, Humanistic, Integrative, Narrative therapy, Person centred, Phenomenological, Psychodynamic, Relational, Systemic
Clients I work with
Adults, Older adults, Trainees
How I deliver therapy
Online therapy, Telephone therapy
