About me and my therapy practice

May I take this opportunity to introduce myself. My name is Nichola Doyle and I am a fully qualified Integrative Counsellor and Hypnotherapist and founder of Bridge to the Other Side Counselling & Hypnotherapy as well as being an Alcoholic to Alchemist Licensed Practitioner (Addictions Therapy); Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR) Therapist and I also hold a certificates in Mental Health England and ASIST (Applied Suicide Intervention Skills) Training.

My experience in Counselling and Hypnotherapy is wide and varied, having worked for a number of professional organisations including charities, private companies and Merseyside Schools, including both mainstream and specialist provisions for children and young people aged 3-19. I have helped clients to manage some of the following issues:

• Stress

• Anxiety

• Depression

• Low Self-Esteem

• Inter-personal conflicts

• Neuro Diversity

• Parenting Difficulties

• Domestic Violence

• Sexual Abuse

• Coercive Control

• Trauma

• PTSD

• Addictions,

• Grief (including experiencing bereavement through suicide)

Practice description

My approaches are integrative, humanistic and holistic in nature, meaning that I use a range of modalities which best suit the presenting and underlying issues and these are always tailored to your individual needs. I provide a warm, welcoming, safe, supportive, confidential, non-judgemental and professional service which offers you a place to be seen, heard, supported and understood. Exploring current behaviours, feelings and vulnerabilities and promoting self-awareness, knowledge and insight into self-care can help you to reduce stress, and a realisation can be reached as to how unhelpful thinking, behaviours and actions, may have been hindering your ability to live well.

I provide one-to-one on-line sessions using various platforms; for example, Zoom and Microsoft Teams.

In addition to evening sessions over Zoom, I also offer in-person counselling for Merseyside schools who book in with me for a full day - for a minimum of 6.5 hours. Travel costs will be quoted and included in the booking fee.

I look forward to working with you and supporting you on your journey to wellness.

Warm regards,

Nichola Doyle
