Availability

I am currently available face to face Tuesday & Wednesday Evenings, and Thursday and Friday mornings and afternoons, as well as Saturday mornings. 

For virtual sessions, I tend to have greater flexibility. Please contact me for further information and we can discuss your needs.

I am unavailable for sessions between 29th April - 5th May, though please do still reach out if you would like to work together, as I will have access to my phone and emails and so will still be able to arrange an initial phone consultation. 

About me and my therapy practice

Welcome, my name is Amanda and I am a fully qualified integrative psychotherapist/counsellor. I work with individual adults offering an empathetic space for you to explore and make sense of your challenges, supporting you in feeling understood without judgements or expectations. Perhaps you feel like you just need someone to listen, or maybe you need support with something specific? As an integrative therapist, I am able to deliver a variety of therapies such as person-centered, CBT and psychodynamic, meaning we can tailor our approach for your unique individual needs, helping you to create meaningful and lasting change. 

I am experienced in helping those with low self-esteem, inner-child healing, managing anxiety & stress, coping with bereavement, depression, and those feeling generally unhappy with their lives. I also work with those who want to break unhealthy patterns or self-defeating behaviors, and improve their relationships with others and themselves.

All your data is stored securely and I am a registered member of the ICO, BACP and National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society, as well as being fully insured, so you can be sure I will work with you ethically.

I understand attending therapy can be daunting, but I am here to support you through the process. As someone who has witnessed how life changing therapy can be, I would love the same for you. It's important you feel comfortable, so please do not hesitate to reach out and ask me any questions you may have or share any worries or concerns.

I offer a free initial phone consultation which will take around 15 minutes. Its important you gel with your therapist, and allows us to discuss your reasons for reaching out, so I can be sure I have the right skillset to support you.

My first session

I offer a free initial phone consultation so we can be sure we are a good fit for one another. It's important you find a therapist that you feel you gel with, as well as allowing me to be sure I have the right skills and experience to best support you. In the instance that I do not, I will try my best to refer you to a colleague who can. 

Our first conversation will be an informal chat about your reasons for coming to therapy, and what you feel you best need support with. I will also discuss with you our therapeutic contract, confidentiality and obtain some personal information from you and I am always happy to answer any questions that you may have. The call will usually last between 15-20 minutes. I will then explain the next steps to you if you would like to proceed with working together.
