About me and my therapy practice
As a former front-line war veteran turned person-centred counsellor, I bring a unique combination of life experience and professional expertise to my therapy practice. Holding a BA (Hons) degree in Counselling, I’ve dedicated years to helping adults overcome a range of mental health challenges, including trauma, anxiety, and depression. My work is deeply rooted in empathy, respect, and understanding of each individual’s unique journey.
Having served in the military, I understand first-hand the emotional and psychological toll that life’s toughest challenges can take. I’ve worked extensively with veterans, but my experience spans a diverse range of clients from all backgrounds, helping them navigate personal crises and life transitions. Whether you’re seeking support for stress, mental health issues, or personal growth, I provide a safe, non-judgmental space for you to explore your feelings.
As a registered member of the BACP, I adhere to the highest ethical standards, offering a counselling experience that is client-centred and empowering. My approach focuses on you, giving you the space and support needed to find clarity, build resilience, and move forward with confidence.
Through person-centred counselling, my goal is to help you find your own solutions, offering guidance without directing the process. Whether you’re a veteran seeking to unpack past experiences or someone facing everyday challenges, I’m here to support you in achieving mental well-being.
Whatever you’re going through, I’m here to walk alongside you. You don’t have to face it alone.
Practice description
I’m not your stereotypical counsellor. As a former front-line war veteran with a straight-talking approach, I bring a unique perspective to counselling that combines honesty, empathy, and a deep passion for helping others. Life isn’t always easy, and I know this first-hand from my own challenges. That’s why I became a counsellor – to help people find their way through tough times with real, down-to-earth support.
Whether you’re dealing with anxiety, depression, trauma, or life transitions, I provide a judgement-free space where you can be yourself. I don’t believe in sugar-coating things, but I do believe in meeting you where you are and working alongside you to help you find your path forward. My approach is person-centred, meaning our sessions focus on you – your thoughts, feelings, and what matters most to you.
I offer flexible counselling options to suit your needs. You can choose from:
• Online sessions, if you prefer the convenience of meeting from home.
• In-person counselling, if you prefer face-to-face interaction.
• Walk and talk therapy, for those who feel more comfortable in an outdoor setting.
• Telephone sessions, for when privacy or comfort is a priority.
• Text-based counselling, if you find it easier to express yourself through writing.
As a BACP member, I follow strict ethical guidelines to ensure every client feels safe, supported, and heard. My practice is all about empowering you to take control of your journey, with no judgement and no agenda other than helping you get where you want to be.
My military background gives me a strong foundation in resilience, discipline, and understanding the complexities of mental health. Whether you’re a veteran, a professional, or someone seeking support, I provide the tools you need to work through whatever you’re facing.
If you’re looking for a counsellor who won’t just listen but will work with you to overcome your challenges, I’m here. You don’t have to face life’s struggles alone – let’s tackle them together.
