Client Testimonial
Building trust and a strong therapeutic relationship was absolutely key for me and Jill provided that from the very beginning. The EMDR sessions were transformative, helping me overcome deep-rooted childhood anguish that had been impacting my everyday life for years.
Through this process, I’ve made so many positive changes for the better. Jill’s compassion, understanding, and professionalism made all the difference. I felt truly supported every step of the way.
I highly recommend Jill to anyone seeking a counsellor who genuinely cares and can help you achieve meaningful, lasting change.
About me and my therapy practice
Welcome, I'm Jill. I am a qualified and experienced integrative counsellor who has additional training in EMDR practice and from the Association of Family & Systemic Psychotherapists. I am easy to talk with and I will work with you for you to find your unique ways to move forwards and improve your sense of wellbeing.
Are you struggling with:
- Sadness and loneliness of grief and bereavement?
- Stress, anxieties or panic that impact your life?
- Traumatic experiences that need resolving?
- A long-term health condition or cancer?
- Distressing moods, such as depression or anger?
- Family issues and tensions in relationships?
- A phobia that is holding you back?
As an integrative counsellor I tailor therapies to your individual situation. So we can explore your thoughts, feelings, behaviours, relationships and your context to understand them better. I will encourage you to understand how to use your own strengths and ways of coping. You can then re-evaluate what is troubling you and consider your own options for change.
How I work:
I work with individuals and couples online:-
- I am client centred; working to develop trust between us and create a way of working together that helps you understand yourself better and increases your confidence in moving towards change.
- Attachment-focused therapy gives insights into the deeper patterns in your relationships and ways of coping
- CBT gives proven strategies and resources to explore your thoughts, understand and calm your feelings and bring choices about your behaviours.
- EMDR is effective for working with past trauma, anxiety, phobias, social humiliations as well as grieving.
- Family Therapies support individuals, couples and families to understand difficulties and differences and move towards strengths in relationships.
- Neuroscientific ideas tell us that we can change and having some insight into how our brain works can help us to understand our responses better.

About me and my therapy practice
About me and my supervision practice
Hello my name is Jill. I am a qualified and experienced integrative supervisor, with experience supervising individuals and small supervision groups. I work online. I have been a supervisor in adult private practice as well as in agency settings, for example I was a Counselling Service Lead for 7 years supervising in an all-age setting.
I have always valued and appreciated supervision myself and it is important to me that we co-create our working alliance and work in a relational, collaborative and reflective way to support you and your work and improve and deepen your skills. I work within the BACP’s Ethical Framework for the Counselling Professions and I draw on Page & Wosket’s cyclical model and also on Hawkins & Shohet’s Seven Eyed Process Model for my supervision work.
I bring into our supervision space the therapy models that as a counsellor I integrate, which are person-centred principals, attachment focused therapy, systemic and family therapies and cognitive-behavioural therapy.
If you are interested then please contact me on my email (jillpcounselling@gmail.com).
I look forward to hearing from you.
