About me and my therapy practice
I am a dedicated and experienced therapist based in Edinburgh with over a decade of experience in mental health, working with a diverse range of clients.
Modality: My training is based on a relational integrative model of therapy, drawing on psychodynamic and humanistic approaches. This flexible model allows me to adapt to your individual needs and incorporate new learning into our work together. I engage in regular professional development, to keep my practice up to date.
Experience: I qualified as a therapist in 2016, studying at a BACP-accredited institution. Before completing my counselling training, I worked with Mind in West Essex, delivering mental health support in the community. I have provided general adult counselling at The Next Chapter, PF Counselling Service, CrossReach Counselling Lothians, children's counselling at Place2Be in Edinburgh, and bereavement counselling at St Francis Hospice in Essex. I have been in private practice since 2018.
Over the years, I’ve been delighted to receive wonderful feedback and hear many success stories from my clients. They often share how our sessions have positively impacted their lives and helped them navigate their challenges, both during our work together and long after it has ended.
Specialism: I have a particular interest in how our context shapes our experience and understanding of the world. I am American and have now lived abroad for more than twenty years. Because of my own experience I have a particular interest in working people living outside their culture of origin.
Practice description
I approach each person I meet with warmth, openness, and humour. I will listen empathically to what you have to say, offering insights, suggestions, and challenges that I believe will be helpful.
Together, we’ll form an understanding how things have been for you and why. We usually achieve this through conversation, though I also enjoy working creatively when appropriate. Sometimes, being understood can be healing in itself. Often, we’ll go further and think about how you’d like things to be and how to make that happen. My goal is to help you feel supported and empowered to make positive changes.
One of the joys of my work is getting to know individuals from all walks of life. I welcome enquiries from everyone and am committed to providing a non-discriminatory, inclusive space for all regardless of ethnicity, racial identity, religious beliefs, sexuality, or gender identity. I genuinely look forward to getting to know you as an individual.
My first session
When we begin, I'll invite you to share your story and what brings you to counselling, and I'll listen without judgement. We’ll discuss what you hope to achieve through counselling, and I'll be honest about what might be possible.
You can try therapy with me “risk free.” If we are not a good fit, and we decide against going forward, the first introductory session will be free.
Just reach out to schedule a session or visit my website for more information. I look forward to hearing from you.

I am currently looking for supervisees seeking additional supervision and can offer flexibility around meeting times, online or face-to-face.
About me and my therapy practice
I have recently completed a COSCA Counselling Supervision Skills course, and I am offering supervision sessions at a reduced rate (£25 per hour) until I am fully qualified as a clinical supervisor as part of a COSCA Certificate in Counselling Supervision.
I have worked as a relational integrative therapist since 2016 and have years of experience working with other colleagues in a peer supervisory capacity. I have a good grounding in humanistic and psychodynamic modalities and I really enjoy working creatively and with parts of self.
Practice description
Please note, I may need your permission to anonymously write up an analysis of our work together as part of the qualification process and I will be seeking feedback throughout as part of my own commitment to learning and improvement.
I am unable to work with trainee therapists as a supervisor or operate as anyone’s sole source of supervision at this time.
