About me and my therapy practice
THANK YOU FOR TAKING THE TIME TO VISIT MY PROFILE. AT PRESENT I AM UNABLE TO ACCEPT NEW CLIENTS. I WILL REMOVE THIS NOTICE LATER IN THE YEAR WHEN I AM ACCEPTING NEW CLIENTS AGAIN. MANY THANKS, CAROLINE - JAN 2023
Counselling supported me through some dark and difficult times in the past. Its positive impact changed the trajectory of my life for the better. As a result, I now aim to provide the same support to others.
Hello and thank you for taking the time to view my page. My name is Caroline and I am an independent counsellor and registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).
My aim is to provide you with a safe, supportive and consistent relationship within which we can explore the issues that bring you to counselling. My role is to listen to you without judgement as well as support and encourage you, providing you with a safe environment in which you can feel heard and understood. I do not offer advice. Rather, I aim to support and empower to make your own choices.
I respect and value difference and work in an adaptive way, tailoring each session to suit each individual or couple.
Current fees:
• £45 for 50-minutes individual counselling in-person in Banbury.
• £50 for 60-minutes in-person couples counselling in Banbury.
I also offer reduced rate fees upon agreement to those on low or no income as well as to trainee counsellors. Other individual circumstances will also be considered. It is my aim to ensure that, where possible, cost is not a barrier to those seeking counselling support.
Practice description
I use a client-centred approach in my counselling work and draw on techniques from other approaches too (including transactional analysis, gestalt and CBT), tailoring my approach to suit you as an individual.
Training, qualifications & experience:
• BA (Hons) First Class Degree in Counselling.
• CPCAB Level 5 Diploma in Psychotherapeutic Counselling.
• CPCAB Level 4 Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling.
• Certificate in Couples Counselling.
Current roles:
Concurrently to my private counselling practice I am also a tutor at Banbury Counselling Academy as well as a counselling lecturer at Abingdon and Witney College.
Previous counselling roles:

Previous non-counselling roles:
• 8 years working with adults cautioned or convicted of criminal offences.
• 8 years working with victims and witnesses of crime.
• 3 years working in the financial services sector.
