About me and my therapy practice

I am an integrative counsellor providing short and long term therapy. I offer a supportive, safe, confidential space that is non-judgemental. I will take time to journey with you at a pace you are comfortable with, supporting you in finding the answers you have within yourself. I will listen, explore how the past may shape your present experience and provide challenge where appropriate.

Recognising everyone’s uniqueness, I work empathically and adapt my approach to your needs and what you want to get from counselling. I draw on a range of approaches to ensure I work with clients in the most appropriate way for them. I specifically make space for soul in my practice, recognising that there is the potential to make meaning out of our suffering by connecting to who we are at a deeper level and not seeing ourselves as problems to be fixed.

I work creatively where it may help provide new ways of expressing what is troubling or matters to you. This can include working with what is happening in the body, using drawing, imagery, visualisation and archetypal stories.

My first session

I offer a free 20-minute chat giving us an opportunity to find out more about each other and to help identify whether we could work well together.

At the first 50-minute session I will carry out a fuller assessment, getting more information from you about what brings you to counselling and what you want to get out of it. We would also discuss the contract we would agree between us and agree whether we are a good fit for each other.
