About me and my therapy practice

I'm a registered integrative counsellor working with a range of challenges including low self-esteem, work related stress, generalised anxiety (including social anxiety), depression, relationship challenges, grief and loss (whether related to bereavement or a life change), among others.

My approach to work is holistic. As an integrative counsellor, I draw from several modalities and therapy techniques to tailor the counselling process to each client's unique situation and needs. Life's ups and downs might make you feel overwhelmed, alone or stuck, but you don't need to handle everything on your own. Clients who have worked with me say that I have helped them develop a greater sense of self-awareness, self-worth, empathy for themselves and others, and a greater ability to navigate life's ebbs and flows.

I run sessions in English and Romanian, and I also speak Italian.

Practice description

I believe therapy can provide beneficial improvements to mental, emotional and overall well-being. I see my role as supporting you to find your own meaning. My goal is to help you deepen the understanding you have about yourself, the unique resources and skills you possess and how these might support you where you want to go. Where necessary, we will work together to develop new resources and skills that fit where and who you are now.

And if you wish to get more clarity on moving forward, my training allows me to bring coaching into our work and support you with that, too.

My first session

The first step is to connect via email. We will then arrange a 10 min call. This gives you an opportunity to ask any questions about how I work and clarify any concerns you might have in regards to pursuing therapy. The first contact also gives the opportunity to arrange an initial session to assess your needs for therapy.

We will then have an initial session. This is a 50-minute session which offers us the chance to meet, speak about what has brought you to therapy and to decide if you want to continue working together. There is no obligation to return if you decide that the service is not for you. If you decide to continue, we will arrange a weekly time to fit with your availability. The number of sessions is flexible around your needs. We will review our work periodically to assess what these needs are as our work progresses.
