Have you experienced humour whilst working with a client in a person centred way? This study aims to explore your experience of humour arising during therapy and your perceptions of the potential effects of how humour arising during therapy may impact upon the theraputic relationship and your practice.
Within Counselling training and practice for those working in a person centred way, there is limited commentary and a lack of guidance or qualitative research regarding the experience of the naturally occuring phenomena of humour for Counsellors working in a person centred way, and its perceived potential impact on the Counsellor client relationship.
Interviews will be semi-structured with pre-prepared open questions for participants provided in a Participant Information Sheet attached, to provide some guidance during the interview process. Interviews will be conducted for 1 hr on Microsoft Teams. The Interpretive Phenomenological Analysis model (IPA) will be used to collect and analyse data.
Please email Joy Barnett to express interest in participating or click on the attached Advertisement and Participant Information Sheet which provides further detail.
