About me and my therapy practice
I am an experienced BACP Accredited Counsellor and Psychotherapist able to work with both adults and young people, practicing from my private therapy room in the centre of Stourbridge. I am on the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) Register and am guided by their Ethical Framework for the Counselling Professions.
You may be seeking support for a specific issue such as anxiety, low mood, relationship difficulties, bereavement - or have a general sense that things aren’t quite right in your world. Whatever your reasons, taking this first step to contact me may feel rather daunting. When you get in touch, I will be more than happy to talk through any questions that you might have about how I work and what to expect.
I believe that it’s the relationship that we develop together that will be key. My aim is to offer you a safe, confidential space in which I hope you will feel accepted and heard, so that we can begin to explore together what is troubling you. I am deeply committed to being alongside you as you tell me your story. Although we can't change the past, I believe that a warm therapeutic relationship can allow us to process what we've been through and step back out into the world with improved self-awareness, confidence and perspectives.
I work integratively which means I blend together different theoretical approaches – person-centred, CBT (cognitive behavioural therapy) and attachment. I am experienced in working with clients long term or to a limited number of sessions.
I am able to offer supervision to counsellors and psychotherapists of all modalities.
Practice description
I currently have a busy private practice based in the centre of Stourbridge. I am qualified to work with both adults and young people, as well as taking referrals from Employee Assistance Programmes from companies such as Soma Health, Team Verrico, Premdor, All About People, and The Salvation Army.
I was employed as a bereavement counsellor for Bereavement Support South Worcestershire, based at St Richard's Hospice, having previously been a volunteer counsellor at the Hospice.
I worked as a locum counsellor at Haybridge High School, a volunteer counsellor at King Edward VI College in Stourbridge in the Staff and Student Counselling Service, and on placement at The What? Centre, Stourbridge.

About me and my therapy practice
Welcome to my Supervision Profile
As a therapist I have always found my own supervision to be central to my work and to my clients’ wellbeing - a supportive, strengthening, and creative relationship which is ethical and rigorous too. And this in turn is what I aim to offer my supervisees - a collaborative, non-judgmental space in which to feel supported in exploring your client work, aspects of professional and personal development, ethical issues, and to recuperate and re-energise.
I am able to offer supervision to counsellors and psychotherapists of all modalities. As a supervisor my work is guided by BACP’s Ethical Framework for the Counselling Professions, Hawkins & Shohet’s 7-eyed model, and Page & Wosket’s Space and Focus.
I am an integrative practitioner (person-centred, CBT and attachment) experienced in working with adults and young people, time-limited or open-ended, and referrals from EAPs. I currently run a successful private practice, and have previous experience in a variety of settings – hospice, NHS-funded bereavement service, sixth-form college, high school and young person’s centre.
Please do get in touch and we can explore together what you might need from supervision and whether I can offer you that.
