Psychotherapeutic / Counselling Approaches
- Systemic psychotherapy focuses on your relationships past, present and future. What patterns of behaviour may or may not be helpful? Some of these patterns come from childhood and families; others come from life experiences. Addressing these 'systems' is often helpful.
- Cognitive behavioural therapy examines how environment, thoughts, behaviours, physical reactions and emotions are interconnected. It is an intervention that challenges unhelpful thoughts and behaviours and improves emotional regulation.
- Other models including Single Session Therapy, Attachment Theory, Transactional Analysis, Rational Emotive Behavioural Therapy and Rogerian Therapy.
