About me and my therapy practice

When you are experiencing relationship issues, feeling low, stressed or anxious talking to a counsellor can really help.  I will listen closely and be sensitive to your needs focusing on the relationship between us. In our relationship I will provide warmth, openness, empathy, trust and presence. With these qualities it is always my intention to hold a safe space for you to explore your inner experience without judgement and create the potential to transform, change and heal.

I understand that taking that first step in deciding to have counselling can be really difficult. You might be feeling uneasy, confused, overwhelmed by your feelings or unsure how you feel at all. I'm easy to talk to and have a lovely peaceful room to see you in, where we can talk confidentially. My aim is to always work with kindness and non-judgement.

I find many people who come for counselling are struggling with relationship difficulties present in their personal, family and/or work lives. Helping with these difficulties is often achieved by a process of self-exploration and increased self-awareness. This inner clarity and insight can be discovered through counselling by experiencing an honest, predictable, safe and healthy relationship. The impact of unhealthy relationships can be healed by regaining trust, regaining confidence, returning to a sense of security and reconnecting to love.
