Helen Hawkins

I am a Transpersonal adult and child therapist with 10 years experience, working in schools and in private practice. I have a MA in child, adolescent and family systems therapy and a diploma in sandtray therapy from AIST.

I work online with adults and adolescents and face to face with children in a play therapy room in Llanidloes, mid Wales.

I have experience in working with trauma, depression, anxiety and addiction. I specialize in school phobias and social anxiety. I use creative and art therapy methods with clients of all ages, where appropriate.

I work by having a brief phone conversation with potential clients first, to see if we are a match. Then an online assessment session before committing to an initial 6 weeks of sessions that can then go long term if necessary. 

What you can expect from me is active listening and a heart based approach that invokes a deep attunement without judgement. I bring a lifetime of experience of working in schools with a wide range of clients and material. This informs my work with adults too.

I expect clients to attend 100% for the first 6 weeks and to pay before each session.

I operate a 48 hour cancellation policy.

I do occasionally reschedule a session if there is a good reason. Especially with younger clients.
