About me and my therapy practice

Are you feeling sad, stuck or anxious? Perhaps you struggle to get your needs met in relationships and put yourself first. You may be caught up in old patterns that no longer serve you. Counselling can help you unpack your emotions and feel really listened to and understood. Having someone walk alongside you as you find new pathways through life is a powerful, healing experience. I've been where you are now and know how transformative counselling was for me in dismantling the barriers I put up, helping me find my voice and put myself at the centre of my life.

As an integrative counsellor I use a range of approaches to help untangle the difficulties in your day-to-day life and explore your personal history. I offer a safe, warm space for you - we'll work at your pace to support you to find what you need, start to heal the wounds of the past and feel more ease and self-acceptance.

Coming from a background in the media, I’m fascinated by what makes people tick and feel that counselling can go beneath the story we tell and help us discover our true selves.

Practice description

I currently offer online or telephone counselling for adults, both long and short-term, depending on what your particular needs and challenges are at the time. I work on a weekly basis with clients and offer 50-minute sessions at a mutually convenient time.

I have worked in charities supporting carers and at a women’s centre, as well as in private practice, with a diverse range of clients exploring issues including addiction, stress and burnout, depression, anxiety, grief, loss, and parenting and relationship problems, as well as talking about early childhood experiences where appropriate.  

My first session

It may feel daunting or embarrassing to talk to a stranger, or you may not know where to start. But admitting you need help is a vital first step. Please contact me for a free 30-minute introductory phone call, where we will discuss what brings you to counselling, you can ask any questions of me and decide if we're a good fit. If you decide to work with me, we will then schedule a first full 50-minute appointment where I will find out more about your history and what you are hoping to get out our sessions
