About me and my therapy practice
I am an experienced psychotherapist, and my journey into the world of psychodynamic therapy started more than 20 years ago. I feel deeply passionate about what I do and I approach therapy with hope.
My therapeutic style is centred around personal growth, respect, collaboration and empathy. I create a safe and supportive environment for you to explore your thoughts, feelings and experiences. My aim is to help you alleviate your pain and help you become more aware of your feelings and patterns of relating to yourself and others.
I am a qualified professional, BACP Accredited member, and I specialize in individual therapy with adults, long-term/time-limited once weekly. I am fully trained and qualified to provide on-line and face to face therapy. My education includes MSc, The International Institute of Depth Psychology (IIDP), The Diploma and The Advanced Diploma in Psychodynamic Therapy, The Counselling Foundation, UK. I am also a certificated bereavement counsellor and hold a certificate from Cruse Bereavement Care. I adhere to the Code of Ethics of my professional bodies.

At times, we can become stuck in old habits, patterns, and fears that do not serve us anymore and get in the way of authentic and meaningful connections with ourselves and others, keeping us from feeling inner peace and happiness.
My job is to understand your life experiences and how they have led to your feeling unhappy, lost, confused or stuck. Together we name the repeating and frustrating patterns, identify the conflicts behind the patterns, and address them.
Psychodynamic therapy is a therapeutic approach that focuses on the conscious and unconscious parts of the mind and helps people gain insight into their lives and present-day problems. It helps understand why people may attract partners with similar characteristics, reenact the same kind of patterns, and play out the same fights over and over again.
The therapeutic relationship is central to psychodynamic therapy. It can demonstrate how a person interacts with their friends and loved ones. This look at interpersonal relationships can help people understand their part in relationships. It may empower them to transform that dynamic and bring meaningful and lasting change into their lives.
My first session
You will be offered an initial consultation which takes 50 minutes. During that time we will explore what support you feel you need and decide whether therapy may be helpful to you.
Ongoing sessions are 50 minutes long, weekly.
The initial consultation is £ 70, the ongoing therapy session fee scale is from £70 depending on your life circumstances. Sometimes concession fee slots become available for those who are genuinely in need.
The fee is payable by bank transfer at the end of each session. Please note that my name may appear on your bank statement.
Missed Appointments and Cancellations
Clients are responsible for missed appointments and cancellations. Except in a true medical emergency or natural disaster, clients are responsible for the fee if the appointment is cancelled or if the client does not show up for the scheduled appointment.
