About me and my therapy practice
Life throws us many challenges, most of which we cope with but others are so distressing or overwhelming that we can't see a way to move forward. We may feel we cannot burden friends or family and so sit with difficult emotions and remain stuck. At these times Psychodynamic Counselling can help you navigate your way through difficult feelings and enable you to gain new insights. It can provide you with a better sense of who you are and how you see your future self.
I will offer you a safe, confidential and accepting place to explore your emotions and experiences. There is no "one size fits all" method of therapy; whether you are going through a bereavement, a work-related problem, relationship issues, anxiety or depression i will look at you as an individual and pay as much attention to your back-story as the present. Inevitably our past experiences shape our current thinking and people can unconsciously repeat what is not repaired. Together we can look at your unique situation and facilitate effective and positive change.
I offer 50 minute sessions on a weekly basis, always at the same time on the same day. I can offer sessions during the day or evening and together we can find a time to suit you.
