About me and my therapy practice
Do you want to talk through an issue in order to make sense what's happened and put things in perspective? Or, dealing with difficult feelings and emotions? Undoing self-criticism and enhancing self-care? Problem-solving, planning and decision-making?
Most people attend for a 50 minutes session at the same time each week.
For other people, it may not fit their lifestyle or emotional needs. We can discuss the best arrangement to accommodate for your needs.
A number of sessions will depend on your needs.
Some people may need a single session because they have done a lot of self-reflective work and need feedback or directions for the future.
I work with individuals and couples who want to make sense of a specific problematic event that sticks in your mind or change their behaviour and much more.
I offer a secure, non-judgemental, professional and confidential environment where we work together on finding, analysing and acting on the information. I am here to listen and to help you explore your thoughts and emotions, which, sometimes, can feel confusing and overwhelming.
I am a neurodiversity affirming counselling psychologist. I have academic knowledge, practical background and first-hand experience of autism and ADHD.
With Access to Work funding, if you are eligible, I will help you negotiate changes your employer must make in your workplace, which includes mental health support.
My first session
The first session can last from 30 minutes to a full 50 minutes introduction meeting where we decide if we are a good fit.
It helps to know what you want to achieve in therapy, at least a vague sense of you hope to get. It is fine for your goals to change, just keep me updated.
