About me and my therapy practice
I am a qualified Integrative therapist on the UK Bedfordshire and Hertfordshire border.
I am a registered member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy.
My passion in human value and connection drives my work.
My previous experience includes class based group work targeting anxiety, low esteem, and poor mental health. I have supported young and mature adults in life skills and work placement and
along side multiple levels of autism in all ages.
I am of creative mind with art and imagery playing a huge part in my work. I have been able to combine creativity and multiple therapeutic theories, to establish wellbeing and positive direction for individuals. I feel privileged to facilitate this opportunity for clients to make their own change.
Practice description
All work is in accordance with the BACP ethical framework, guidelines and membership requirements.
I have appropriate insurance, DBS and ICO membership.
I endeavour for clients to feel safe, heard, and able to work at their own pace without judgement.
The therapeutic relationship is at the heart of my work, sessions are focussed on this relationship and also the client’s own relationship with himself or herself. All sessions are conducted in a dedicated non-judgemental environment. I make every effort to ensure privacy and confidentiality.
I am committed to continual personal development in my chosen modalities, and I continue to adapt techniques and resources within theses modalities to facilitate opportunity for self-awareness, new perspectives and fresh choice. I have trained further to support secure online work.
I am originally trained and qualified in Person Centred, Psychodynamic and Existential methods and I have taken further training in CBT. I work alongside clients who look to understand how their place in the world, childhood, experience or habitual thinking influences their everyday lives. In my practice, I work alongside theories of inter-parts work, and the observation of inter-personal conflict that connects with negative thought cycles. I work collaboratively with clients to explore their thoughts, emotions and behaviours in order to identify and work towards their desired goals and new perspectives.
