About me and my therapy practice

My aim is to support you to talk about issues that are troubling you, in a quiet, calm and confidential space. You will not be judged but you will be listened to and heard.

Together we will find a way to cope with the challenges life brings and I will be by your side as we explore those challenges and your feelings about them. I can support you if you are newly diagnosed with ADHD or Autism or if you'd like to explore the need for a diagnosis

I see clients with a multitude of issues and have experience in grief counselling, anxiety, depression, the psychological fallout from the menopause, family breakdown, identity issues and addiction.

I have clients in their 20's struggling with the world at the moment and we can focus on relationships, family, starting a career or taking the next step, issues around starting a family and the anxiety this may bring.

Others come to work through changing identity, gender, sexuality and working out who they are and who they want to be. I can be by your side to support you through these changes.

I am easy to talk to and understand how hard it can be to take the first step and make that call. Rest assured I will always treat you with kindness and empathy.

Practice description

My practice has a room in Rettendon, Southchurch and Leigh-On-Sea and I can see you face to face. I also offer video counselling and have taken an extra qualification so you can be confident in the care I offer.

I also offer walking, talking sessions if you feel more comfortable sharing while on the move. I have a well trodden route along the seafront that I use for this.

For those who might struggle to get to my rooms I may be able to offer home visits. Please call me to discuss this.

My first session

If you would like to discuss the sessions I offer an initial free 15 minute phone call at a time to suit you. This is not a session but just a way of getting to know each other and see if we are compatible.

I'm happy to answer questions about the room or how sessions work if this helps you to feel less anxious about the process.

Our first complete session will include a therapeutic agreement and we can discuss how we will work together and talk about your expectations and hopes for the therapy. You are in control of what is discussed and the pace of the sessions.
