About me and my therapy practice

I work with a range of ages, from 13 up.  I also work with couples experiencing difficulty in their relationship.  I obtained my degree in Integrative Counselling through the University of Worcester.  Once I obtained my degree I have been continually engaging in further qualifications to make sure that I am able to work with the most up to date ideas and skill set.  I am passionate about the work I do with clients, whether 13-17 or individuals 18 and up or couples.  I am most interested in the relationships that we are involved in and help clients to improve these primary relationships, whether partner, children or work colleagues.

If you are looking for a compassionate, caring and experienced therapist who can understand where you are coming from then please get in touch for a free and confidential chat and take the first step on your personal journey to wellness.

Practice description

Zoom Sessions

Currently I am working via Zoom, which allows for more convenient times and cuts out drive time.  Zoom is secure and easy to load onto a computer, tablet or phone with a camera.  It is free as well, so no parking charges, no travel time, no fuel or bus fares are required.

Face to Face Sessions

Pre lockdown I was seeing clients in Gandy Street and Pinhoe.  This has been placed on hold for the near future, apart from Face to Face anxiety courses.

My hourly rate:

£50.00 per hour

    • Adults
    • Couples
£40.00 per hour
    • Teens 13-17
    • Counselling students

My first session

Beginnings are always a curious time.  The first session will be both of us getting to know each other, discussing what your expectations are and what the issues is that has brought you to seeking help.

We may explore topics such as:

  • How long you have felt this way
  • What would you like things to be like, what is your aspiration
  • What are your challenges
  • When do you feel the happiest
  • What is your self care like
  • What medications are you on
  • Have you considered harming yourself recently

I am interested in knowing what your experience is and how issues are affecting your day to day life.  I am interested in what has worked in the past and what changes are required for a better future.

Sometimes it is just a mindset that needs an adjustment.  Other times it could be change in circumstances.  It is a very individual process, but the good news is that I will be here to walk the journey with you and offer support.

Brief therapy, CBT, Emotionally focused therapy, Existential, Gestalt, Humanistic, Integrative, Person centred, Phenomenological, Play therapy, Psychoanalytic, Psychodynamic, Relational, Solution focused brief therapy, Transactional analysis, Transpersonal

Clients I work with

Adults, Couples, Groups, Older adults, Organisations, Trainees, Young people
