About me and my therapy practice

Over 20 years experience. People from minority groups are very welcome.

Practice description

I offer conversational, creative, challenging and encouraging therapy for adults. Having studied different counselling methods -both traditional and experimental - I’m versatile in my approach to sensitive personal and social issues and how they can be resolved.

There are several contrasting “modalities” and “brands” in the counselling and therapy field. I integrate powerful ideas from most of them. But what I value more than any particular psychological theory or counselling technique is being able to provide my clients with a reliable, meaningful, supportive and ethically confidential relationship through honest face-to-face therapeutic dialogue.

What I can help with

Abuse, Anger management, Anxiety, Bereavement, Cultural issues, Depression, Identity issues, Men's issues, Personal development, Redundancy, Relationships, Self esteem, Sexual identity, Sexuality, Spirituality, Stress, Work related issues

Types of therapy

Clients I work with

About me and my therapy practice

As a Senior Accredited Supervisor, I provide one-to-one supervision and pair/group supervision for counsellors, therapists and other ‘people practitioners’ seeking a committed, collaborative and creative approach to supporting and developing their work with clients, patients and service-users.

A large part of my current practice is supervising a diverse range of practitioners working in schools, colleges, and public health. I also supervise trainee counsellors and established independent therapists.

I hold a Diploma in Integrative Supervision and draw on over 20 years of varied therapeutic counselling experience including EAP, voluntary sector, local authority, NHS primary care, and private practice.

I'm a Cambridge Supervision Training Associate, and co-author with CST founders Penny Henderson and Anthea Millar of Practical Supervision (JKP 2014). Currently I write the supervision column for BACP's Private Practice journal.

Contact me at any time to discuss your professional requirements – if I’m not able to help you directly I might know someone who can.
