About me and my therapy practice

I am an integrative therapist with training and experience in mindfulness and neuroscience based modalities. This informs my practice as a supervisor. I work with qualified and student counsellors who see adult clients. My work is based on the present, the relationship between you and I, and the relationship between you and your client. 

Practice description

The supervision you receive will very much depend on the experience you have.  The support received will be tailored to your level of competence. I work holistically giving you a space to discuss what is going on for you personally.

My first session

During the first session, we will get to know each other and enable me to learn more about your client type, your practise and your needs as a supervisee. Within this session we will establish whether or not I am the most suitable supervisor for your practise. For group supervision, the first session will be a 121 session, and thereafter I will introduce you to a group if this is suitable for your needs.

I use an integrative approach to therapy, meaning that I can draw upon a wide range of skills and experience to apply what is best suited for your needs. My core training in Mindfulness based experiential therapy along with training in modalities using neuroscience, enables me to integrate modern scientific research with proven traditional therapeutic techniques. I do not use the ‘one glove fits all’ approach – the therapy you receive will be tailored to your needs.

My first session

I offer an initial 25 minute consultation session where we get to find out more about each other. I will only offer you on-going sessions if we are confident that I can offer what you require - however if I feel that there is a service better suited to your situation or circumstance that I do not offer – I will point you in the right direction. I am will help you make choices about treatment, understand your rights or reach out to sources of support. Within the first session following the consultation, we will run through an assessment to establish what has brought you to where you are today and what you would like to achieve out of therapy.
