About me and my therapy practice

We all have times in our lives when it might be helpful to share our concerns with someone outside our situation. Having an experienced counsellor alongside you to help work through these concerns and make sense of them can turn your life around. Perhaps you feel counselling could be helpful for you?

I work with both individuals and couples, for an agreed, appropriate period of time which we will review regularly. As an experienced counsellor and psychotherapist, I can help you to enhance your life and your relationships, working within a supportive, trusting relationship.

Offering warmth and empathy along with a wealth of life experience allow me to provide an atmosphere where you can feel safe to talk about any problems or issues you may feel you have. Counselling is a collaborative process in which we work together to enable your personal growth and positive change.

Practice description

I work with a variety of approaches including CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy), utilizing whatever will work best for each individual client. I have a calm and positive temperament, and am committed to providing a high quality of service to clients.

My Counselling Practice is in the centre of Ely, where I am able to provide a safe, relaxing and confidential atmosphere.

My first session

Our initial meeting consists of a free half hour assessment where we look at the issues concerning you and decide whether we would be comfortable working together. Following this would be a charged hour where we consider the direction and timescale for subsequent sessions and begin our counselling work together.

Our sessions will last for a minimum of one hour but I am able to offer flexibility and longer sessions if this would be helpful. Within that hour I will encourage and support you to gain a clear understanding of your present situation and consider possible ways of moving forward with your life.
