About me and my therapy practice

There are many reasons why you may be looking for therapy – whether that is simply a space to make sense of where you are in your life right now, a particular difficulty or ongoing challenge, or instigating some change in your life. The ultimate goal is to move forward and my integrative therapy training and experience means I will work with the past, present and future.

I work solely online and have been doing so since 2020 with great effect. I have been working for over twenty years as a therapist with trainings in a number of modalities (psychodynamic, CBT, humanistic, mindfulness, hypnotherapy, neurolinguistic programming, coaching). I work with adults with many different difficulties such as anxiety, low self-esteem, relationship issues, low mood, addictions, low motivation, and physiological conditions.

As well as working as a therapist, I am also an academic psychologist with a lot of experience in the mental health field. 


Practice description

My approach is very holistic in order to understand you as a whole person and tailor the sessions accordingly.

I also recognise that therapy is a journey that can be daunting at first but which can be containing and illuminating as well. I offer a space where you can feel heard without judgement, safely explore your current difficulties, and be supported to take your next step.  

I am working remotely using Zoom which has proved an effective way of working both short- and long-term. I do not specialise in any one area and work holistically with what your bring and am focused on both helping you manage challenges so you can move forwards and drawing upon your strengths. Ultimately, the aim is to help you manage without therapy.

I offer an initial short phone or Zoom session (circa 15 minutes) which will be free so we can discuss your needs and map out a possible way of working together. I can tell you a little about how I work and answer any questions you might have whilst getting a sense of your wishes for therapy.

My first session

I don't require any assessment prior to starting, however, I offer a free consultation which can take place either on Zoom or by telephone.  This initial meeting is set out to see whether firstly you might feel comfortable and positive about working with me and for me to feel sure that I am the right person to work with you.
