About me and my therapy practice

I am drawn to working with neurodiverse individuals, and creating a place that feels comfortable where a client can be vulnerable.

I provide a space that is warm, where confidentiality, integrity and inclusivity is present for all my clients.

I have a wealth of experience in working with self-awareness and well being, areas covering anger and shame and anxiety.

Hello, I am Rodger Cuddington, I'm a qualified BACP registered counsellor.  working throughout the county of Gloucestershire and across the UK.

my approach is based on the theory of person-centred counselling

I also apply integrative modalities if I feel it is within the scope of the therapeutic  sessions.

I work with anxiety, depression and meaninglessness, abuse, addiction, grief, loss, and bereavement, ADHD, trauma, dissociation, stress, relationships and family issues, men’s issues, suicidal ideation, rage, Obsessive Compulsive Disorders, phobias, and Autism Spectrum Condition.

working generally in a block of 6 sessions, reviewing as we go where we feel we both are within the therapeutic  relationship, to decide on how we both feel about further sessions.

Clients thoughts.

“I met Rodger for bereavement support after the death of my girlfriend. I found Rodger very easy to open up to and speak my feelings and emotions almost without realising. Rodger understood me with clear and caring manner for my feelings and helped me to reflect and visualise what I was experiencing and expressing.

I found each session extremely cathartic and looked forward to them each week. During the time seeing Rodger I could feel myself getting better and stronger with managing my grief, until I found that I could move on into my new life with confidence and understanding.”  AB

Practice description

My aim is to make a space where you can share what has brought you to counselling. From here we decide together which strategies to employ, and what goals you would like to achieve. If you are attracted to a particular methodology, where possible we will incorporate this in our work. My role is to listen to you. I might offer you possible strategies, but I don’t profess to know what is best for you in your life. I respect that you are the expert of your own life. For me the process of counselling isn’t about being intelligent and always getting things right, it’s more about a willingness to be vulnerable and authentic. To this end I am authentic with thinking and accountable to you.
