About me and my therapy practice

I am a therapist working with individuals who are seeking understanding, lasting change and a more compassionate relationship with themselves. My approach is grounded in psychodynamic therapy, which means I pay close attention to the ways your past experiences, relationships and unconscious patterns shape your present life. Together, we explore these patterns at a pace that feels safe, helping you make sense of what you may feel whether confusing, stuck or overwhelming.

Alongside this I bring experience in working with addiction through a 12-step informed lens. I understand recovery as both a practical and deeply personal process. And I support clients in navigating sobriety, relapse and the emotional landscape that often accompanies addictive patterns. Whether you are new to recovery or have been on this path for some time. I aim to meet you with honesty, respect and without judgement.

I offer a dedicated space for adult children of alcoholics and those who have grown up in dysfunctional or emotionally unpredictable families.  These early environments can leave a lasting imprint - shaping how you relate to yourself, others and the world around you. You may find yourself struggling with self doubt, people pleasing, difficulty trusting others or feeling responsible for everyone else’s needs while your own go unmet.

I also draw in Internal Family Systems (IFS) to help connect with the different parts of yourself that developed in response to early experiences such as protective parts that strive to keep you safe, and more vulnerable parts that may carry pain. Fear or shame. This approach allows us to work with these aspects of you in a compassionate and non -judgemental way.

My style is collaborative, thoughtful and attuned. I offer a space where all aspects of your experience are welcome, and where we can work together to better understand what you are carrying and how you might move forward with greater clarity and ease.
