I am very experienced at seeing clients over Zoom which is a remarkably effective platform for a therapeutic relationship to be established and for very significant change to come about for my clients. I see clients both in this country and abroad using the Zoom platform. I am also available to see clients face to face in my office in the garden (separate from my house) or alternatively at a Therapy Centre in Henley town centre (at an adjusted rate).

I am very accommodating and will work with you to find a time that works for you.

About me and my therapy practice

Is there something you want to change in your life but not sure how to go about that change? Are you interested in understanding the fear and anxiety that are causing you difficulty and in developing new coping mechanisms that will enable you to live the life you want? Are you looking to free yourself from the past and to recognise patterns in your relationships that you have the power to change? Do you want to live your life in a more meaningful way knowing what it is that you want to achieve?

I have the skills and lived experience to support and guide you to explore whatever challenge you may be facing and to help you work out what new coping skills and emotional tools you need to move forward.

I am very experienced at working with those struggling with addiction and also the families of those affected who need support with how they are coping. Addiction can be a very difficult issue to come to terms with - both for the addict and for their family. I have spent the past few years delivering an online addiction treatment programme which has proved remarkably effective in supporting both addicts and their families.

I provide a safe space where there are no expectations of you and no judgement. I know from my own lived experience that this can be very freeing and can give you the chance to start seeing things differently and maybe finding ways to start looking at what is really going on for you.

Establishing a safe relationship with a therapist who “gets you” can be the beginning of a new way of being and of living life differently.

I specialise in Relationship Issues; Addiction in its various manifestations; Adult child issues;  Anxiety and Low Self-Esteem. I have considerable lived experience of 12 Step recovery programmes in particular Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) Adult Children of Alcoholics and Dysfunctional Families (ACA) and I live my own life in a self reflective and nurturing way to ensure that I can offer the best support to you.

Practice description

It is crucial to understand that this process of self discovery will always be at your own pace as you are the only person who can truly know you and this is your process so you get to take the time you need to take to uncover what is necessary for you at each stage.

Discovering why we behave the way we do can be a very freeing life experience and allows you to uncover your own resources that you can then start to tap in to. My clients feel held, empowered and fundamentally changed by their therapeutic journey with me. I would love to be able to offer this experience to you.

I am committed to offering you as my client emotional tools to help you to work out different ways of coping in your life. These tools can then become part of your way of being in the world and help you to fulfill your potential as a human being.

If you feel you could benefit from giving yourself a safe space to breathe and to allow yourself to begin to explore your beliefs and behaviours and to start to look at your true feelings and reflect on how you might like to feel differently then I can assure you that therapy could be the way forward for you. The power of therapy lies in an effective therapeutic relationship - I have the empathy, lived experience and insight to support you in facing whatever feelings you are struggling with so call me.

My first session

I believe it is very important for you to tell me what it is you are hoping for from therapy so I can explain to you how I believe my approach can help you. To this end I offer an initial 30 minute telephone call free of charge so you can explain this to me and also very importantly you can get a sense of me and how I will work with you.
