About me and my therapy practice
I am a qualified humanistic psychotherapist, psychotherapeutic counsellor, and a registered member of the BACP. As an integrative practitioner, I offer a warm, collaborative, and confidential space tailored to your unique lived experience.
I specialise in gender, sexuality, and relationship diversity (GSRD), providing a deeply affirming environment for LGBTQIA+ and trans individuals. My practice is also neurodivergent-friendly, offering supportive care for ADHD, autism, and diverse neurotypes.
I work relationally. This means we explore how you connect with me as a window into how you relate to others and yourself. Together, we will look at past patterns to help you build deeper self-understanding, process difficult emotions, and live in a way that feels genuinely authentic.
My international background makes my practice highly attuned to the nuances of expat life, cultural transitions, and global living. Additionally, my previous career and academic training in law enrich my work with a deep awareness of themes like equality, power dynamics, and individual difference, helping you explore your challenges in an empowering way.
Issues I work with include:
• Anxiety, panic, depression, and low mood
• Relationship and interpersonal issues
• Identity exploration, gender, and sexuality
• Navigating life transitions, changes, and endings
• Feeling stuck, lost, or hopeless
• Bereavement, loss, and grief
Practice description
I run a fully remote, global online private practice serving clients across the UK, Europe, and worldwide. My approach is professional yet deeply personable, grounded in extensive clinical training and a varied professional background.
Alongside my private practice, I have spent several years as a volunteer counsellor with the UK mental health charity Mind, and I currently serve as an examiner for Counselling Diploma examinations. These roles reflect my commitment to maintaining high ethical standards and staying closely connected to rigorous clinical competencies.
What you can expect from our space:
• Empathy & Warmth: A gentle, compassionate approach to what you are struggling with.
• Active Engagement: A potent, collaborative environment where we work together toward growth.
• Non-Judgmental Safety: Complete freedom to explore your thoughts and feelings.
• Professionalism: Full compliance with the BACP Ethical Framework, regular clinical supervision, and comprehensive professional indemnity insurance.
Practicalities:
Sessions are 60 minutes long and take place securely via Zoom. I offer flexible weekday and evening availability to accommodate different time zones. Invoices are sent monthly and are payable via bank transfer. I maintain a very limited number of reduced-rate spaces for those on lower incomes; please feel free to inquire about current availability if you think you may be eligible.
My first session
Starting therapy can feel like a significant step, so our first session is designed to be a gentle, collaborative introduction with no immediate obligation to continue.
What to expect in the first session:
• Getting to Know Each Other: We will discuss what brings you to therapy at this time, what you hope to gain, and your background.
• Assessing Needs: This session serves as an initial assessment where we see if my integrative and relational approach is the right fit for your unique needs.
• Answering Questions: You can ask me anything about how I work, the therapeutic process, or our practical boundaries.• Finding a Rhythm: If we both feel comfortable moving forward, we will establish a regular, weekly meeting time.
Practical Details:
• The first session is a full 60-minute appointment and is charged at my standard individual rate of £75 / €85.
• There are no lengthy assessment forms to fill out beforehand - our initial conversation will guide the process naturally.
• To join, you will simply need a private, comfortable space and a stable internet connection to log on to our secure Zoom link.
