About me and my therapy practice

I’m a master’s level qualified, registered integrative psychotherapist offering online or telephone sessions.

Whether you’re facing a particular concern or feel it’s time to act on something that hasn’t felt quite right, therapy can be a space to find clarity and connection.

I know it can feel daunting to start with a new therapist, especially if you’re new to therapy. My intention is to help you feel safe in a space where you can be yourself and explore whatever you may bring.

I see therapy as somewhere to be curious about yourself - an opportunity to gain insight and experience different ways of being with yourself, others and the world. For the most part, change and awareness are gradual, as you begin to notice sides of yourself you may have overlooked before.

Before training in counselling and psychotherapy, I worked in media and communications for over 15 years. In therapy, I try to cut out jargon, put you at ease and explore what it’s like to be you. We’ll work together to make sense of your challenges, experiences and questions.

I offer both long and short-term therapy, depending on your needs. Sessions last 50 minutes at a time that suits you.

In addition to private practice, I have experience of providing therapy in palliative care, NHS primary care and higher education.

Practice description

I draw on established and modern therapeutic approaches, depending on what feels most helpful to you. Together, we’ll find a way of working that fits your needs.

I blend aspects of person-centred, psychodynamic, cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), and neuroscience into a style that is collaborative, compassionate, and down to earth.

How therapy can help

• Understand how our past shapes who we are today

• Get deeper insight into yourself and your relationships

• Become more aware of emotional triggers and how to respond differently

• Feel more emotionally steady

• Find acceptance or a fresh perspective

• Grow more comfortable with uncertainty

• Increase awareness of patterns that may be holding you back

• Build confidence in your decisions

• Communicate your needs and set boundaries with less guilt

• Recognise and express your feelings

• Strengthen self-belief

• Soften your inner critic and loosen fixed beliefs

• Notice and work with your mind-body connection

My first session

The relationship with a therapist is important so I offer a free 20 minute online or telephone consultation to help us decide if we are a good fit.

We’ll talk about what brought you to therapy, what feels most important to you right now, and any questions you have about the process.

There is no obligation to continue after this.
