About me and my therapy practice
Hi I'm Mel.
I am an online counsellor and I specialise in helping my clients understand, heal and recover from a difficult relationship with a toxic or narcissistic parent.
All of my clients experience a fast transformation from feeling hurt and confused in their relationship with their parent, to knowing exactly what is going on with their parent, why they behave the way they do, how to handle them, and how to feel better and stronger.
I have created various short courses you can do with me to help fast track your healing journey.

Practice description
If you have a narcissistic parent, I am the right counsellor for you!
As a child:
-Your parent gave you the silent treatment
-Your needs weren’t met
-Your parent didn’t seem to care about your feelings
-You were told you were too sensitive or dramatic
-Your parent was wrapped up in their own life
-You experienced abuse and/or neglect
-You were blamed if things went wrong
-Your parent had an addiction or mental illness which meant you didn’t get the love and care you deserved
As an adult:
-You still get the silent treatment
-You feel confused, sad, anxious in your relationship with your parent
-You are still being told you are too sensitive and dramatic
-Your parent puts you down and doesn’t see you for who you are
-You still get sucked into their drama
-Conversations with your parent go around in circles, leaving you feeling sad and confused
-You live in fear of being rejected your parent
-Your parent still blames you for things
This leaves you:
-With a low self-esteem and low self-worth
-Second-guessing yourself and doubting yourself
-Feeling like you are going crazy
-Struggling in your relationships
-People pleasing
-Ruminating about your relationship with your parent
-Always feeling hurt by them
-Googling and researching ‘toxic parent’ and ‘narcissistic parent’ to try to understand your parent
-Feeling angry about the way they treat you
-Feeling like you lost your identity

My first session
Sessions will be online using zoom.
Please email me or fill in the contact form to get in touch.
Once I receive your email, we can arrange a 15 minute phone call so I can ask you some questions to make sure I am the right counsellor for you.
I understand that making contact with a counsellor and talking to me for the first time can feel scary. You might not know what to say or how to explain what’s going on for you.
Please know this will be a very informal chat on the phone and I will understand your situation.
Then we will set up a meeting in our diaries for the first zoom session. I will send you a confirmation email with payment details.
