Practice description

The best way to describe my Practice is 'comfortable and a safe space'. A supportive yet challenging platform to tease out the issues that have brought you to counselling. Restorative.

This may be the first time you have taken the decision to do so, or a client more familiar with the process, either way the healing is your reward. During the session, the time is used constructively with the Counsellor being a hundred per cent 'present', a vital component in the professional relationship.

I work mainly on line via electronic means - Zoom, Whatsapp, Teams or the Phone. If necessary, face to face consultation in a warm, confidential space is available.

Sessions are 50 minutes in duration.

Long and short term sessions are available depending on the need.

My first session

The initial 'visit' can be a big step especially if you have not attended Counselling before. With this in mind, some background. Prior to your visit, there will be a short questionnaire to complete and return. A letter of 'best practice' will also be forwarded. This will explain the Practice's compliance etc. Once we have met at the first session, there will be a 'getting to know each other,' an outline of the issue being attended to, of what you a may be expecting from the sessions and some details given as to my preliminary therapy plan together with a discussion on an estimated time frame.
