Availability
I currently have availability for both individuals and couples, all online.
Alongside my more specialised work, I do, at this time, have some limited spaces for general therapy clients.
I work between the hours of 10am til 7pm Monday to Friday, and sessions can occur at the same time or at a varying time weekly or fortnightly.
About me and my therapy practice
Hi, I work online with individuals and couples from all over the UK and abroad who are struggling with: general relationship issues, issues related to pregnancy and parenting, infertility, pregnancy loss (Miscarriage/TFMR/Stillbirth), the death of a baby or child, being a new parent, struggles that come up as a parent, deciding whether they want children or not, and blending of families/step families.
So often in life we can feel stuck, lost, and unsure of where to go next when the grief and trauma hit from life not measuring up to what we wanted or expected for ourselves. This is where therapy can help.
I believe that therapy is a powerful tool that can enable people to work through their difficulties and unpack all tough thoughts and feelings in a non-judgemental, safe, supportive, and confidential space.
It is my privilege to stand alongside you in this, providing you with my learning and expertise, to teach you the tools you need to go out into the world and not only survive, but thrive in your journey.
Below is a non-exhaustive list of the areas of therapy that I work with (please note that if you do not see what you are wanting to work through on this list – that does not mean I do not work with that area, please do still get in touch to discuss):
• Trying to conceive/TTC
• Infertility
• Fertility Treatment, IVF
• Miscarriage
• Ectopic pregnancy
• Stillbirth
• Termination for medical reasons/TFMR
• Infant death/early years death
• Depression or anxiety during Pregnancy
• Postnatal Depression
• Postnatal Anxiety
• Birth Trauma
• Tokophobia (an extreme fear of pregnancy and/or childbirth)
• New Parents
• Arguing between couples
• Rage or extreme bouts of anger since becoming pregnant or giving birth – sometimes known as ‘Mum Rage’ or ‘Dad Rage’
• Parent Isolation or loneliness
• Blended Families/Step Parents
• Infidelity
• Divorce/Conscious Uncoupling
• Abortion
If you would like to work together, please do not hesitate to get in touch, I will be right there for you.
Practice description
I work online, via video and phone calls.
Modality:
I work as a Pluralistic Counsellor, this means that I draw upon many different 'types' (e.g. person centred, CBT, compassion focused etc) of therapy to offer the best therapeutic support I can to my clients. If you have a preference of therapy type, we can discuss this.
I work holistically with my clients at all times. Your mental health can impact your physical health and vice versa.
Experience:
I have worked as a Counsellor in complex trauma services since 2017 so you can be assured that all of my work is trauma-informed. I know that it isn't 'just' what happened in your life that you will bring to a session, it is how those events STILL affect you day to day.
I have degrees in BSc Psychology and MSc Pluralistic Counselling and have completed extra training to work as a Relationship, Perinatal, and Fertility Counsellor. I now run a thriving private practice and love being able to offer this services to people all over the UK and sometimes even abroad.
I chose to specialise in Perinatal and Fertility counselling after my own experiences of getting pregnant and having a baby. After being diagnosed with PCOS, I knew getting pregnant would be difficult. When I did get pregnant and have my son in 2019, I felt it was a miracle, but I did end up experiencing Birth Trauma and Postnatal Depression afterwards. Alongside a miscarriage over a year later, and subsequently infertility, my own journey has definitely not been straightforward. All of these experiences really lit a fire in me to help others going through the same.
Inclusivity:
I believe inclusion should be a cornerstone of our society and therefore am continually working to make sure my practice is as inclusive as it can be. I also have ADHD and am a member of the LGBTQIA+ community so it's not only an ideal, but a personal issue for me.
What I can help with
ADD / ADHD, Anxiety, Bereavement, Child related issues, Cultural issues, Depression, Health related issues, Identity issues, Infertility, LGBTQ+ counselling, Life coaching, Loss, Neurodiversity, OCD, Personal development, Phobias, Post-traumatic stress, Pregnancy related issues, Relationships, Self esteem, Self-harm, Sex-related issues, Sexual identity, Sexuality, Spirituality, Stress, Trauma, Vegan allied, Women's issues, Work related issues
Types of therapy
Emotionally focused therapy, Existential, Humanistic, Integrative, Person centred, Relational
Clients I work with
Adults, Couples, Trainees
How I deliver therapy
